I am wondering since you can make image galleries with file genie, if it is possible to use file genie to do a mass upload of images, say a large zip file with 100+ images that you upload and extract on a server, then the images are resized accordingly and added to the database with smart image processor. Is something like this possible with the MX zone extension package?

The File Genie extension does not let you upload files.
To be able to upload files take a look at Pure ASP Upload. You can do multiple uploads or upload a zipfile and unzip it on the server by using the Unzip Processor.

The Mega Bundle includes the Pure ASP Upload extension, it's add-on pack, unzip processor, smart image processor, file genie, and advanced open window.

Martha,
I have the add on bundle along with pure asp upload. Im trying to make a image gallery, but to get it started, I have well over 100+ images. I don't want to be stuck sitting at my terminal uploading images either one at a time or 5 at a time etc. I was hoping with the extensions I have from dmxzone that I could zip up all the images, upload them to my server, extract the images, have the images resized and thumbnailed and added to the database. Therefore it would eliminate the need for me to upload pics one at a time and save me time as well.

You can upload a zip file and unzip it with the unzip processor. It would look like this:

Pure ASP Upload for uploading the zipfile
Unzip Processor to unzip the zip file
Smart Image Processor to resize the images if necessary
File Genie to display the images
