hi,
It is really a nightmare when I try to use dreamweaver to connect to our Web Site which is located at ISP Web Server, all the files and folders become Read Only, Due to some of the Folders are needed to set it to be writetable and also there are images needed to be auto deleted when the script is running, so the "Whole Web-Site" become "Error Web Site", oh...my GOD.....

Please help???????????

The FTP part of DWMX is better than it was in Ultradev 4, but I still prefer to use WS_FTP, you can download the free LE version and give it a try here: www.ipswitch.com/downloads/index.html

Dear Charon,
Owen is correct - go with a real FTP client - try the free version of WS_FTP or SmartFTP.

Dear Charon,
The 3rd party FTP progs won't be aware of the DW files "status" - if that is a necessity for you, then you may be stuck with DW - unless you want to install/have access to a CVS system like:

www.gnu.org/software/cvs/
