simple (?) question about PD Editor

Hi,I'm searching the way to add some text by buttons added to the PD Editor standard toolbar.
Let me explain... I'd want a button, when I click on it, add a text (like "Best regards"
for example on the current cursor position.It looks like simple to do it but I can't do this !! And there's no "doFormat('InsertText') or something like this function.
Please help, I'm getting crazy...
