Hello all,

First, some background:

I am working on a small site and wanted to make some sort of scheduler on the page so people could check out what is coming up and what went on in the past. Check here to get an idea of what I am talking about.

I found something similar to what I am trying to do at Slate.com (see the bottom navbot "More Assessments", but since they use layers there is a bit of a conflict with Netscape (they put an "if" function for Netscape which just lists the articles instead of using a scroller).

I put my initial idea in a textarea form coz I want users to be able to scroll back to the beginning of time if they want to.

Now, the question: Does anyone have any idea on how I can make the scroller start on <b>today's date</b> on initial loading? (BTW, if you have any suggestions using something other than forms I am all ears, I just put it in a form to give people an idea of what I am visualizing)

Any ideas?<font face='Verdana'></font id='Verdana'><font size=2></font id=size2>
