I wonder if you can help me now. Basically what I am wanting to do is design small sections on the main page using table(s) to break it up. I have used a similar style as the one on the homepage of the dmxzone. The only problem is the break line which runs between each header, i.e. if you look at the top left corner where it says "General", you see a break line which runs after it. How would I add this to my own design??

Open the page - View Source - see the linked stylesheets at the top? Examine the classes referenced around the word "General" - put the full path to the stylesheets in your browser and examine the code.
