I'm building a site for a start up imaging company. They would like for their customers to be able to upload graphic files to them. The file sizes could be anywhere from 10k to 250 megs in various file types. Is the Pure ASP Upload plugin what I need to do this? or is there another dreamweaver plugin that may be suited for this project?

I would not recomend pure upload if you have a 250meg file to upload, it would choke, use aspupload.com/ you can upload a 2 gig file with no problems! i use it and it work fine for me!!

ASP Upload is no dreamweaver plugin and you need to install an component on the server, not all hosting firms do allow that. Pure ASP Upload does it all by script if the server has an uptodate ADO. Read the features of the extension and see if it covers your needs.

Thanks Patrick for the response. A couple of questions : Will pure asp upload handle large files (250 megs) without a problem? and secondly ADO, is this a component of windows 2000 server or is it something that will need to be purchased seperately and installed?

Yes Pure ASP Upload will handle big files without any problems. Of course you shouldn't try uploading those with a simple modem <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> as then it might take a while.

ADO is delivered standard with Win2000 indeed.

George
