database connection problem

i am new to this, and i am trying the pure asp upload tutorial. Everytime I test my connection string I get the following error:HTTP Error Code 404 File Not Found
Possible Problems:
1. No testing server running on the server machine
2.the testing server for this site does not map to mysite.com/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.asp
i am doing this off of my website online..any thoughts?

Have you installed and configurated your PWS or IIS? Can you give more information about the OS your using?
