I am just wondering if anyone else has encountered any errors while trying to update DWMX on a MAC from V.6 to V.6.1.

error: "Update could not be completed due to an error"

Doesn't tell me much.

I have no extensions enabled within Exchange, which apparently causes conflicts, so I am lost as what to do.

Any feedback would be apreciated.

What OS are you using. Dreamweaver MX was the impetus for switching to OSX on my production machine. I work in a design firm that is still waiting for Quark 6 so I was on OS9. I had all sorts of problems with Dreamweaver 6, 6.1. So I switched to OSX and the problems went away. Being the web dude here, I rarely use Quark, so it hasn't been a big issue. OSX is a bit slower but all in all I think it's a big improvement.

I'm running OS9. Sounds like we are one and the same, I work for a design house / commercial printer. I am the pre-press manager / web guy. We are not currently using OSX at all, simply because of Quark. I have however started to switch most QXD's over to Indesign (which I think KICKS QUARK's ASS). So hopefully when Quark 6 is available I will be able to implement the use of OSX. The networking issues, with the Win2000 server, will be interesting though.

Anyhoo, back to the subject. I have managed to install the DW 6.1 update onto an IMAC, but for some reason the G4's don't like it. (OS9.2 on all MACS).
