I Need HELP please!

When designing a page (from a template) in Dreamweaver MX, the screen seems to be 2000 pixels wide. Text keeps on going to the right. I have no overview of how the page will look at all, inserting images or tables is a real crime, and I constantly have to preview my frames in the browser.

Not workable anymore:

make sure that the original table on the template is set at something like 100 percent or no bigger than 1024 pixels.
