Redhat 9.0 uses a secure FTP called "vsftpd". I can connect to it using WS_FTP Pro in sFTP/SSH mode but not FTP. I can also connect to the linux server (Internal test network no firewall on Linux server) using PUTTY and SSH mode. What I cannot do is connect using PUTTY and Dreamwaever. I have followed the instructions from Macromedia on using PUTTY to make a tunnel using SSH and then passing FTP through the tunnel. The problem lies in that I cannot use FTP I need sFTP/SSH. Is there an extension to give Dreamweaver MX SFTP support? Or is there another way to do this. I do not want to use WS_FTP PRO since I loose the ability to work interactively with the server during development.
