I ma using DW MX on a W 2000. I have installed PHP server, and use IIS as the web server for testing.

However I am having real difficulty getting the testing server to work. I actually did it once by accident, but it quickly vanished.

I get a major error, http error 12029 but cant locate a description of the error.

my local folder is
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\1A-phptest
my remote server is :
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\1A-phptest
and my testing server is set to:
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\1A-phptest
yes all the same.

I tried a local folder on J: drive with a remote folder being the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\1A-phptest\, and a testing server in a folder in my wwwroot folder but no way.

When the testing and remote servers are different, i get an error, when I set them to be the same, (C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\1A-phptest\)
I get an error when testing the url for the testing server of ( localhost/1a-phptest/) it is the http error 12029.

it is actually drivin me a little MAD!. Good thing I am an instructor with lots of patients.

is there a doctor in the house?

Try this. Here is the deal IIS won't start Open Control Panel Admin Tools Performance Click Add Snap In and choose Internet , Information Services then click on the web folder right click select properties change the TCP/IP port from 80 to 8080.
