Hi, I'm totally new to the MAC... been a PC user for 22 years and just switched to a G4 laptop. I have dreamweaver for the PC but downloaded a trial version for the MAC which I installed two days ago and used once.

Well somehow my date on the MAC was set to Dec 31, 1969! I discovered the error (after email I sent were stamped with the '69 date... which was interesting).

Anyway, I corrected the time problem and surprise, Dreamweaver Trial Edition no longer worked (my 30 days was exceeded by about 34 years.) So I called Macromedia and the girl there told me just deleted the trial edition from your MAC and download and install a new trial version. I was skeptical of that -- that wouldn't work in the PC world, but I figured that MACs were different.

Anyway, I downloaded the new trial after uninstalling the old one and it doesn't work, it still tells me my trial's expired. I figured there's something in the registry (do MACs have a registry?) that wasn't removed so it's still detecting the "old" trial copy.

Any info would be GREATLY appreciated!

Jim

PS. ADobe was nice enough to give me a cross-platform upgrade for Photoshop for the MAC but Macromedia would do no such thing... they said I'd have to buy a whole new full version of Dreamweaver even though I have one already for the PC which is now useless to me.
