Hi

Please help. I have created a template of 3 tables.
1 - A long narrow horizontal table at the top for the main headings. This is uneditable as will never change
2 - A long narrow vertical table at the left hand side for sub headings. This is editable as the sub headings will change depending what option from table 1 is chosen
3 - A large square for the rest of the page. This is editable as it will hold the content for the page.

I have created all my pages from the template by filling in tables 1 and 2 and they all allign perfectly - i.e when I change page tables 1 and 2 stay exactly where they were on my screen from the previous page. However when I start putting text into table 3 - depending how much I put in the placing of tables 1 and 2 on my page change when I run in browser.

Is there a way of fixing the position of tables 1 and 2 so that regardless of what I do with table 3 they will always appear at the same position on my screen when I run it?

Thanks

Martin

have you tried using frames and then all you have to do is swap out the center....the top and left will stay there

I'll give it a go - when you say "swap out the centre" - what do you mean?

Thanks

Frames would be the best way to go. If I were you I would purchase the Dreamweaver bible and read up about Frames. It is pretty easy to understand but too lengthy to describe here. You could even find a dreamweaver 4 bible on sale. It hasnt changed much.
