Cursortype???

Hi all,Why do I have to chance the Cursortype to get rid of the following problem?
I have created a page on which I display four dynamic images from the database.
All works fine, but if I try to store only the imagename in the database instead of the whole path and type the directory in front of the dynamic image name on the page, it only writes "uploads" to the page instead of "uploads/imagename.jpg" Without chancing the cursortype the image doesn't appear on the screen!
I hope it's a bit clear
