hi I'm fairly new at using asp in dreamweaver, but i manged to complete my site using a access database. How do i go about protecting it from people opening and viewing its contents online.
if the dbase is stored at example:
www.this.com/dbase.mdb , wont it be viewable by visitors?
thanks

Hi
You are correct that your db would be visible and downloadable if you put it in the root directory of your site.
Most ISP's have a specific directory for you to upload your db to which is not accessible to the general web-browsing population but is accessible by you and your website.
Ask your ISP
