Somewhere i saw an extension to just put like 40 words of a database entry and a 'read more' linkany idea where it went/is?
or even how to write something liek this?

There is a free extension on the macromedia website called "Crop Sentence" that will do this for you. You can specify the number of characters you wish to display and then you can manually add a "Read More" link by adding a "Goto Detail Page" within dreamweaver.
