Hi all,I am new to this forum, but hoped that I could get some assistance with an issue I have. I am a basic user of Dreamweaver, but have developed a site using the tool.
My problem is that when I developed the site, I developed it using 1020 x 678 settings and there is a scroll bar on the bottom of each page. I would like to change the page to 800 x 600 (as a lecturer told me), but I am not sure how to do this. I now have no contact with that lecturer to enquire.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give...

Make new pages and size the window to 760x420 (from the dropdown arrow below the page)...this is 800x600 minus the space that will be lost to browser chrome. Put all your previous content into this, probably with the same design methods you used before..tables or div layers or whatever you used. You will have to re-adjust your table or div widths to suit this new size..which will get difficult if you have images that add up to more than 760 px when all is put together, so you MAY have to resize them. You could go back and do this in Photoshop, but the shortcut is that you can drag resize them in DW just like in PS...just be sure to hold down the shift key (if on a pc0 while resizing the images down...do it from the corner and crunch it diagonally and the shift key will keep the proportions accurate.
You should be able to reassemble your pages in this fashion. This would probably be a cleaner way than trying to size everything down in the original "too large" version. Maybe just name your pages whatever_v2 and you can have all the files in there and then when you're done, copy / paste the large originals into a folder on your HD for saving and then delete them from the site files and rename the small versions back to the orig name..delete the v2 part and it will either be just fine or your site files will auto update the changes for you. Hope this gives you a good start. Good Luck!
