DWMX 2004 Stop pasting span tags, I don't want the

I've seen the question raised, but no answers. Here's an example of the problem. If I have content in a table cell formated with a class="whateverstyle", that class will be included in span tags around any content that I copy and paste from that cell into a container that does not have that class applied. I understand this from a novice perspective, because most beginners wouldn’t know if the formating of text was based on a cell class or directly on the text; therefore they might want the text to retain the same formatting no matter where they paste it to. However, for a professional, this a pain in the butt. I don't want my HTML littered with these span tags that DW decided to create everytime I paste something, or have to go back and remove them all.
How can we turn this off, and if we can't, how soon will it be released in an update? It's bad enough that I won’t buy the upgrade until I can find a way to disable it.

Well, at least they're not <font> tags.
This situation is similar to inserting <div> tags into <td> every time you want to center or right align.
The only offhand solution I have for this is to cut and paste from within the code.

Go to preferences in the Edit menu and you'l find an option that says "use CSS instead of html tags"
