Hi all,

Just wondered if buying DW Templates is a good idea? I am a videographer and have built a pretty average site using Dreamweaver with some Javascript thrown in there also. However, I am thinking of purchasing from such sites as allwebcodesign.com/setup/templates.htm who have some good designs. However, anyone have any experience with these? Do you need to promote them in any way? My site is only basic with about 20 pages (will only ever hit max of 25-30)

I think it is a good idea if you have little time or are just lazy! Try: www.thetemplatestore.com or www.templatemonster.com for decent templates, but I'm sure there are thousands of other sites.

You don't need to promote the site in anyway, apart from yours of course if you ever want to get visitors. Most templates, unless from high quality company will use CSS in place of tables. I find, using a template and changing it might be a good thing.

Absolutely! I use them extensively. It saves hours and hours of grief. I usually use thetemplatestore.com and have had great results. I get lot's of compliments and saves me a ton of time getting colors, layouts, css, and stuff put together. For $10-35, it can't be beat. All of them I use have not even required "credit" on the site. While I never "take credit" I don't advertise that it's not my work either.

Anyway, www.templatemonster.com is also quality for better quality websites. I am now converting all the tables in my templates to CSS if you're interested.
