I recently took Dreamweaver MX out of it's box where it's been for goodness knows how long and installed it along with the Layer Genie someone recommended to me... AWSOME.. I think I'm almost ready to part with my Coldfusion Studio!!!

OK, so I managed to get a menu working, but I'm at a loss as to how a submenu would work...

Here's my question... If I hide the first layer on mouseout (or after a 2 min delay) but that layer has a sub menu (on layer 2 I have it)... if I mouse out of layer one to select something on layer 2 I loose layer one.... how do i get around this...

sorry if this is a really really dumb question by the way <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thanks for the help

Kerrie

But there is a tutorial in the help files that explains this.
The tutorial is also available online at www.dmxzone.com/showDetail.asp?TypeId=2&NewsId=4361&LinkFile=tutorials/vertical_nav/../horizontal_nav/index.htm

When building a menu system with more than 1 level of menus, just make sure that the 'child' menus have some physical overlap (eg. 1 px) with their 'parent' menu.
Otherwise the 'mouseout' event for the 'parent' causes the menu to hide before the mouse has reached the 'child'.

Layer Genie also has its own support forum (www.dmxzone.com/forum/default.asp?NewsId=4353).
Please use that one for Layer Genie related questions. You're likely to get a faster response there.

Let us know if you need more help.
