My Layers are moving! Help!

Hi, when I design a page using dreamweaver, It looks great on my computer, but when I use another computer, the layers all run together and off of where I put them! Im using a lap top with a 15 inch screen 1024 X 768, in designing for 800 X 600 so even the smaller resolutions can view them properly, but when I use a desktop with those settings, its all wrong...HELP! You can see an example here: BabyJava.netEdited by - _Lena_ on 17 Oct 2003 03:25:35

I got javascript errors when i visited the link.
But basically, layers are positioned using x & y co-ordinates. so designing it in 1024 and then squashing it for 800 is bound to move them as you are taking 30% off your screen res and your layers stay the same size as when you first made them.
One way for you to get around it is to design the page for 800x600 but in a 1024 enviroment but then that's a design issue.
There are a few good Layer extensions available on the exchange, give them a try, but i personally stay away from layers.

What about using CSS to position and layer what you need?

Come to think of, not sure why you are using layers at all, as it seems to be a simple site where the images can be positioned using HTML if not CSS.
