I have a site that I would like my clients to be able to come to and view the website I am building for them by using passwords for their particular site. So I won't have to continually rename the buttons I have just named them site1 thru site6. When they click on their assigned button a password dialog box asks them for the password and lets them in. I have 6 folders named site1 thru site6, that each have an index.htm file in them that opens when clicked. My problem is as I develop the site and upload the files directly to the matching folders, some of the pages are incomplete, inthat my background is missing or some other part is not there. I also notice that the url info displayed by the browser still refers to my laptop where I developed the site in the first place. These page are the most incomplete and even though they look good on my laptop they are incomplete online. I anticipate that when I try to move the site from the production site to the clients real host site I will probably have these same problems. I am fairly new to this and have read that it is a good idea to have a production site but I can't find the answers to these problem so far. Please help.........Thanks

Hi TextStar,

It sounds to me like you haven't defined your site in dreamweaver.

Ja,

I have tried e-mailing you.... maybe images are not reference properly or as nuidentity suggests, your site definitions might be screwed, make sure you change the URLs to what they actually are.

Hi,

Fixed your problem - seems fine now, just check e-mails that I have sent.
