Do you still see tamplate tags in pages that were created from the missing template?
If you have lost the template, there's no way to recover it, I suppose. Not that I have done this before, however, if you still have template tags in pages that were created from the missing template, you may be able to recreate it by making changes to a copy of a page created from the template, and by saving it as a template with the same template file name and in the same path - you can find the template path info in each documents created from the missing template.
Hope this works for you.

Hey,
Yes the pages I would like to edit all still have the template tags and restricted regions <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>
I will give the 'save as template' a go, but if anyone has any more suggestions then please let me know!
Thanxs,
