Do routers cause trouble with uploading???

If choose not to upload dependents, it goes fine. Is the router causing this problem or does Dreamweaver's FTP suck? Thanks for any advice...

You can rule out the router if everything uploads fine without dependents.

Never receive "Waiting for server" messages anymore. So it definitely is the router that is blocking the dependents from getting through. I do need to use my router, because I have 4 computers that use the line. Does anyone know a workaround for this?
