I realize that I cannot use Geocities with Dreamweaver since I cannot FTP the files. I do not want to pay for a website, this is just for portfolio material. Are there any free web browsers that support dreamweaver with FTP capabilities? Replies

You can still upload your files with Geocities' "Easy Upload" tool and manage your site with "File manager".
However, if you are still looking for a free web hosting company, you can do google with kewords like "Free web hosting". That'll give you a list for you to choose one.

Thanks for the info, but when I uploaded my htm and graphic files I get the first page, but the images do not show when I click a link to the next page, just the text. I tested the site before I put it up and it worked great. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Are images in a directory within your site directory? Can you directly access to images on your geocitis site (www.geocities.com/<i>{your_account}</i>/{image}.jpg)?
If you have created a directory for images or if you have copied images in different directory than one for html files in your DW site, make sure that you uploaded images to an appropriate direcotry on geocities server.
