I've designed a site for my school project and I can't get it up and running. Everything runs fine in Explorer and when I test my connection under 'manage sites' I can succesfully connect. However, when I try to connect before putting my files on the server, I get no response from the server. I've tried changing the timeout from 60 secs to 120. Should I try even longer? I've tried other servers, but this is the only one that succesfully connects when I test it. But like the others, I still can't connect for real to upload my files. Any clue what's going on?

Have you tried to upload any of your files by FTP (CuteFtp, WSFtp, or something like that).
I experience this problem once in a while with my server provider as well.
If FTP works then it is something in DWMX, maybe reinstall it.
If FTP doesn't work then give a call to your server people.

I had that problem cause I made a wrong "maindirectory" folder in the setting. If your serer allows cgi-bin and other stuff, u should adjust the "httpdocs" folder and try to change that dir.
