Hey all,I know this is a very skewed venue for asking this question. I've been a PS user ever since v3.0 and am very familiar with it. Have just started using image ready for all the pages within a site I'm working on. How's the learning curve/DW interface capabilities/filters/etc...compare with Firworks?
Very much appreciate the input.

I have been using Fireworks since v3.0 and I love it for web design work. It is so much simpler to slice images, and create buttons. Photoshop is great for those detailed image modifications, but I find it rather clunky to then go through image ready and create the slices/code part. Just my 2c.

Comparing Photoshop with Fireworks is a little like comparing apples and oranges. Both are delicious but are different in a number of ways.
Photoshop is the bitmap editor supreme, and was designed for artists working on images for print. Fireworks is the top of the line, cream of the crop, my favorite video game, software for creating images for the Web. <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
Fireworks is vector based, so it actually has more in common with Illustrator than Photoshop. If you are comfortable with vectors, you'll love it. Why not download the evaluation version and find out for yourself? You get to play with it for free for 30 days.
Cheers!
