Can some one tell me how can I load text from a external .txt or .word document into a html table?

Thats a big question. Can you be more specifc on what you are wanting to accomplish. Are you using a server-side scripting language (.asp, .php, shtml)?

I have the same problem and in my case I don't have neither cgi nor asp. I can only have .html, .js, or .txt

"server side includes" might be an option. check with your host.
