i have fireworks and freehand at my disposal, and here's my issue.

i've been given a company logo in bitmap form. i'd like to enlarge it, but with bitmaps, the graphic will lose its integrity.

how can i change it to vector form? also, the graphic i a bit tricky, so should I select different parts of it and change it to vector format in sections?

thanks in advance for your help,

It the logo isn't too complex, you can trace it with the Pen tool. Just make sure that you close all the paths or the shapes won't fill. If you've never traced anything with the Pen tool before, it works just like stitching a marquee with the Polygon marquee tool.

If the logo is too complex to trace with the pen, then use the Trace tool in Freehand.

Double click on the Trace tool icon to open a panel that enables you to select the settings you want to use, and then simply drag a box around the logo image with the Trace tool.

Cheers!
