Hi, I've look through the forum and the tutorial but I can't see where I'm going wrong.

I've used latest release of pure ASP before and got it to work fine. Now I'm building a new site in on a Win XP maching using ASP with an ACCESS DB and I can't get it to inset the name into the DB.

I've tried just putting the ASP upload on and I can get it to upload the file to my folder.

When I add an insert behaviour, then the ASP upload it doesn't upload the file or insert anything into the DB it just redirects to itself, even though I've put a different rediret page in the insert behaviour page.

As soon as I remove the insert behaviour and put a redirect page in pure asp upload it works again.

Any ideas

Thanks in advance
Wayne

ah, i only have the old one.

isnt there a dedicated support forum for the extensions somewhere?

only saying that, because a lot of folk are saying posting questions in here about extension help is not being answered because its in the wrong place.

dont ask me where it is tho, ive never bought an extension.

Dave

I believe you have to setup the insert behavior BEFORE the asp upload. The redirect is defined in the Inset Beh. NOT the asp upload.

The support forum is www.dmxzone.com/forum/default.asp?NewsId=1622

I've tried setting up the insert behavior before the asp upload and that's when I'm getting the problem.

If I just put the asp upload in it will upload the file.

If I remove asp upload, then put the insert behavior then the asp upload nothing is uploaded or inserted into the database.

Wayne1000, I'm having the same problem. I would guess that you also running DW X 2004 with the latest extension. Reading through all the post on TalkZone I'm begining to think that there is a major incompatibility issue between the extension and DW MX 2004. But why is no ever answere any questions in here? So many people seem to have so many problems that are completelly ignored. After this many complaints there should be a bug fix no doubt or at least they should say that they are aware of the problem and working on it. I can't believe these people. Sorry I'm venting. I've been at it for six days now straight and can't figure out what the problem is and support is non existant.
