First of all what you need to have is a Internet Service Provider. You have to upload your site onto a server that is connected to the Internet. It doesn't sound like your website has been uploaded onto a web server that has an internet connection.

Your problem is that the ip address is a local address across the lan you have configured for the two pcs. This is not the same as being accessable over the web.

You will need a host service to get your site one the net.

Hi Tinaa_Tinaa,

It is possible to run your site through your LAN connection, you could run it like an Intranet. You would have to have your IIS server serve the webpages through your LAN connection, that way anyone that can access your LAN could access your website.

Hello newbies..
u made me laff from your answer!\i wrote a big description of my problem but none of u read it carefully.

anyway i tried another forum, with more expert on it, and the answer was i must forward port 80 so anyone can access my website on pc2, lol its too simple smarty ppl. NO NEED to HOSt it anywhere else.
I will explain ow to forward it maybe another user had similar problem and find this usefull.
on PC 1 go to ur My Network Place> view Network Connections> right click on ur internet connection > properties > advanced> settings >check the box of "Web Server (HTTP)"and edit it , add in "Name of IP address"field ur local IP of PC2, click ok, then disconect and reconnect and Voila!!!!

Goo dluck all, and next time read properly the problem posted <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Excuse me but your the person who came here looking for help, and then you insult those who try to help you.

what does that make you? lot worse than a newbie i'm sure.

Either be respectful of the volunteers who answer posts or you'll find an empty audience of no-one willing to listen to you.

Dave
