being a regular user of IRC i decided to find some coding/development based rooms this afternoon.

i'm sure there is a lot more around but i found 2 rooms on the Quakenet server

#webdev - this room has a lot of conversations ranging from linux to obscenity so be warned if you join it, some clever guys in here too.

#Dreamweaver - this is a small room i found which badly needs more members. If enough people grab a stool in here, it might turn out to be a helpful channel.

to get a copy of the mIRC client program, visit mirc.eon.net.au/
the program is free to use and you do not need to register ever if you wish not to, although it is asked of you after 30 days.

for those of you who have never used it, it stands for Internet Relay Chat and has built in file transfer etc.. But just like any other network connecting program, there may be a security risk for you, so please read the website carefully. You always get idiots who will seek to ruin peoples time and fun, but apart from a 0.01% of idiot its a great program to use.

for people who have an IRC client installed, paste the link below into your browser join the room.

Dave
