have never created a web page and the only experience I have with DW and FW is the amount one can get during the 30 day trial, so I need help.

I have a photograph of the ocean that I want to use a background. Along the top, i have created a logo / banner. these two are grouped in FW and I want to use them in DW to start my website.

1) Should I slice the image in FW and export to DW? or should I trace the image in DW and insert the graphics into layers and tables?

2) What is a good size for web pages? I like pages that one does not have to scroll down, each page takes up the screen size. I have been trying to use 700 x 400.

3) Should I continue in FW creating my navagation bars / buttons and then export to DW? or should I create all of this through DW?

4) Could one not create an entire site in FW and then export it to DW?

I will probably have many more questions so thanks in advance for the help.

1. slicing it would be better, you'd have more control over the layout as you create the graphic.
2. 700x400 is a great size to use for sites based around 800x600 resoultion and will look good on both pc and mac.
3. entirely upto you.
4. yes, you can create the entire site, slice it up and export it to dw as html and images.

Dave
