Nested Layers & Browser Compatibility

loyal members of DMXZone, i have a problem <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>i've got a website that needs to be converted from layers to tables, only some of the content of the site has been created with nested layers (or layers within layers). Dreamweaver is refusing to convert some of the pages because of the nested layers, and moaning about incompatibility with version 3.x browsers.
only thing is, i couldn't give two spanks about version 3 browsers.
so, does anyone know how to turn this awful feature in Dreamweaver off, and let me make non compliant web pages damn it!
Anyone ?
regards,
ben

well any conversion is gonna need some hand coding.
if i were you i wouldnt use tables at all, i'd convert all layers to divs and set them up with a css style sheet. if you need any helpstarting it this way give me a shout.

thanks for the offer ultradav, that would be great, but unfortunatly this site must be finished by the end of today, and i'm not going to risk not completing the project, exchanging msg's back and forth on DMX's forums. thank you v. much for the offer though.
i'll speak to the client later, if they decide not to use a table'd structure i'll definetly be banging down your door for a tip or two <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
thanks again.
