Has anyone had any trouble embedding a Quicktime movie into a layer? My movie works in IE5+ but can only be heard in NN7 and Safari 1.2. The movie is referred to as a SRC between EMBED tags inside a DIV layer. No CSS positioning is being used. Thanks in advance!

Hallo,
the problem is not the layer, media files are not crossbowser compatible. I think you will find some (object) settings on the net. Do you have a link to the movie(page)?

Dag. Hoe gaat het?
My Dutch is limited, so you'll excuse me if I can't use much more Dutch than that. My father was born in Holland in Lisse where tulip country is. Dat is goed, ja?
The Quicktime file should be crossbrowser compatible. This is the link to my current page (it will be updated soon, though):
www.qreativ.com/missyelliott/promo.html
I used Quicktime also on my personal site with no crossbrrowser problems:
homepage.mac.com/tadpoleontheweb/media/tvghminigrant.html
I think it may have something to do with embedding a Quicktime .mov file into a div layer with relativee or absolute positioning. I'm wondering if you may have some CSS-P or layer knowledge about embedded multimedia.
Dank u wel!

Hoi, het gaat prima...
ooops, the first link is broken...
Again, i don't think the style is the problem. There so much possible problems: servertyp, serversoftware, diff. codecs etc. Try to run the (problem) movie on the other serve location.

Here is the link:
www.qreativ.com/missyelliott
From there you can choose to view the smaller or larger movie. I originally wanted to display this with CSS and layers, but it didn't always work. So I went back to traditional tables and it works well in all browsers.
