Very basic question, but I am a beginner and any help would be appreciated.I have three seperate cells that need to be merged. The lesson from the book I am using only states the following instruction: Modify>Table>Merge Cells. Well, I have tried that but the Merge Cells option is not available. Also tried CTRL+ALT+M as well as saving my progress and restarting the program. Nada.
I am sure it is probably a minor oversight on my part, I just don't know what it is.

Hi
In order for the merge cells option to be available you have to select the cells that you want to merge and then Modify>Table>Merge Cells.

This may be an obvious one, but keep in mind that the cells that you would like to merge need to be right next to each other. AND, The cells need to be merged vertically or horizontally only - no diagonal. How are the 3 cells you are trying to merge layed out in the table? In a straight line?
