Does anyone else have the problem of duplication in the site definition window of MX or MX 2004 (I've experienced it with both). What happens is this: You have a list of site definitions in the window, say:Site1
Site2
Site3
And the next time you open up Dreamweaver, if you look at your site list, you see something like this:
Site1
Site2
Site2
Site2
Site3
Anybody else ever get this, or, more importantly, anybody else know how to solve it? It's not really a big deal, just annoying to always be deleting the duplicates.

That's a new one on me.
Might be worth exporting your site definitions and then uninstalling MX and starting again - when uninstalling MX it can leave remnants of itself behind in the registry etc so if you've can give that a once over as well.

Good suggestion, except that this is a clean, recently reformatted HD entirely -- no recent traces of the program, since the whole disk was wiped, and all the sites on it are imported fresh (all my sites have export files already).
Any other thoughts?

Hmmn,
I'm wondering if its something to do with the export / import. If you manually recreate your site definition and then restart does it duplicate the site or only if you import it?
Are you running BOTH MX and MX2004 at the same time with the same sites set up in each?
I know MM say you can do that... but I wonder if its really (really) true????
Other than that... nope fresh outta ideas, but I'll be interested if anyone else has an answer

I've had it duplicate both manually recreated sites and imported ones . . . doesn't seem to make a difference. It doesn't happen every time, just once out of every 5 times I open the program, maybe.
And, no, I'm not running both MX and MX2004 . . . but it happened to me a few times with MX, and later, with MX 2004 when I upgraded.
Thanks for the ideas, though. If it's an unsolvable nuisance, at least it's not a crippling one, just annoying.
Anybody else want to take a crack at it?
