hi
I've put a list menu on my site but when I press 'send', I get a page not found page coming up. ? How can I get the send button to send me the info to my email address? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere, I've tried looking on other pages with this list menu feature but it remains a mystery to me??
I would HUGELY appreciate any help at all.
Thanks
Jo

Hi Valetin

You need to have some kind of SMTP server or email capability available to your web server, do you? What server-side language are you using?

[Hi Digga
Thanks for replying so quickly. I'm afraid I'm a bit of an internet dunce!! Um, the site I'm building as a try out is on geocities (free), I have an email account with hotmail. Is that what you mean? I'm sorry I don't even know what server side language is!!!!!! How embarrassing! I guess we all have to start somewhere.]

Hi Valetin

Doesn't look like you can do that with the free package, only the pro, which costs money. The other option is to find a host (free) that does offer an SMTP service so you can send/receieve emails using your domain name and with server-side script availabe you can turn your site into a dynamic rather than static site.

The server-side language/technolgy is needed to process the form content and create/send the email, looks like you're stuck with the old mailto: link at the moment.
