What i always do is create a square GIF that i place it in its own table and stretch it vertically.. but im not even sure if my method is efficient....
I would also like to know how you guys do it.. for example on this website:

2 ways offhand...
#1 - CSS, you can apply a <i>border-right</i> style to each <a> tag of that footer nav. Now, what about the last link? Well, you could make one more style for the final link and apply manually, so the 2nd option usually works best in most cases...
#2 - Use the | key-character, it's up to the right of [ & ] .
Sound good?
