I don't know if it is DW or my pc, but when ever I have large amounts of text in a page layout, the system seems to slow down to a snails pace. Are there any recommendations, or is it because I am using an old pc that has virtually no video graphis? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

newer pc and/or more ram at least.
it's the program that uses resources not the content, so it's your pc.
do a cpu check while its running, see how much ram and page file is being used also.

Dave is right. In my experience with DW, a lot of text doesn't slow it down too much, but a lot of dynamic stuff, and large/long forms (long select menu/lists) will greatly slow down the Design view rendering. More RAM is your friend! <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

I completely agree. Get more RAM.
I had 512 and it would eventually run out. I even received "out of memory errors"
I decided I wasn't wasting any time and money in the long run and went with 2 gig (2 1GB's). I consistently use between 450-500 while using DW, a couple of browsers and Outlook. I hit 670+ when I launch Photoshop with all the above.
