Does anyone know where DW stores it's default doctypes? I thought it was in Configuration/Templates (I'm using Mac OS X by the way), but all I have in there is a file called 'Default.html', which just contains this: <pre id=code><font face=courier size=2 id=code>&lt;!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"&gt;</font id=code></pre id=code>

When I create a new XHTML document I get the 'Transitional' doctype, but I want 'Strict'. On a side issue, should I be using 'Strict' or is it best to stick to 'Transitional'?

Yes, it's the same on the Mac. However, there's only one HTML document in there (Default.html), which contains the HTML 4 Transitional doctype. Where does DW get the XHTML doctype from, any ideas?

This is really odd!... DW must get the XHTML doctype from somewhere because it's there on the page when you create a new XHTML document.

Oh well. I guess I'll just have to keep copying and pasting any different doctypes I might want to use. I appreciate your help all the same though guys.
