I have been trying to make a .zip and .mb file to download from my page (tripod.com).
Everytime I click on the link it opens a page full of unusal letters like this ---> sdcbisudbcui372%EW$#$Q^VJH^&e5454e%$E#$$

On my link I have just linked it to complexrig.zip and I have also tried file://complex.zip

I was wondering what Im doing wrong. Can someone help me. Thanks

try using right click > save as.. on the file and see if you can download it that way - if the files are being altered on upload - pehaps being converted to ASCII by your FTP program, this might indicate the source of the problem. - if you are using cute FTP you can check the 'transfer method' in the global preferences - the options for this are autodetect, ascii and binary. If it is on autodetect or ascii, try changing it to binary and uploading the files again.

If could also be your browser preferences which are set to always open the file in the browser window rather than save to disc. This could be caused by a bug or corruption in the browser itself or some user preferences buried away somewhere. Without knowing what browser you are using it is difficult to tell, however, I would recommend installing the latest version of mozilla and see if the error occurs in that browser (I think we're on version 1.0.6 at the minute)
