Since I cannot get the save image size fields to work with PAU, I was wondering about adding the Smart Image Processor. Can it only resize an image if it is greater than a certian number?

For example, if the uploaded image is greater than 700 pixels wide, shrink it, but if it is less than 700 pixels wide, leave it alone?

Also, does saving evey image to .jpg have any problems if it is a .gif, .png, or .bmp?

Yes, if you set the maximum size to 700pixels and you upload an image with 700pixels width or less the Smart Image Processor will do nothing with the image.

I don't know this for sure because I only work with .JPEG and .GIF images. We have bought a third party .dll file that we are using instead of the one that comes with the package.

Also cool: you can easily, with just a few lines of handcode, resize the images as many times as you want.

The problem is that I cannot get 2.1.7 to do the size restriction or the "save image width and height" to the database.

I can resize my own images if either of those functions worked for me. I am tempted to buy either the Smart Image Processor if it can make the difference on its own or the newest version of PAU if I could guarantee it would actually work.

Ok, through testing I have noticed that PAU 2.1.7 works great with IE and IE Clones. The uploading and the image width and height captures work great.

However in Mozilla, only the uploading works. The scripts that supposed to pull the height and width don't work at all.

Will this ever work? Does anyone know why? Does it work in 2.1.9?
