Hi

Baffled by this:

Have set up a connection to an Access database (no security set on database) using a custom connection string "DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=d:\webactive\test.mdb"

When you test this connection, Dreamweaver says successful

When you go to the bindings tab to create a recordset from the connection, it says "Unable to retrieve tables from this connection, click on the 'Define...' button to test this connection.

Also, when you go back to the Database tab, select the connection and expand tables, it says NONE, but there is a table in there.

Our testing server is running IIS 6 and I am connecting via a local network to upload. Annonymous access is allowed and SSL is disabled on this folder.

Any help gratefully received by me and my year 8 students at school

Hi, I figured it out. Try this.
First of all I got rid of all the spaces in my db name, tables and field. It didn't fix it but I wanted to tell you everything I did. This probably didn't do anything.

THEN I found this link on another forum and it fixed it. www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_19515

I tried the adobe fix, and for some strange reason it did not solve the problem for me.
Any other suggestions, or perhaps I did something wrong.

Make sure all your field names are valid and are not forbidden names.

What are your filed names, actually?
