I am reformatting a large amount of word doc content to be published on the web and am having a few issues with inserting images with in the text.

For example i have a paragraph of text that has 1 special character, as Dreamweaver or the Web Browser dont see this special character I need to create an image of it and place it with in the copy so that is reads consistently... I do this and Dreamweaver automatically create a new paragraph for this image and any text that follows.

I have the page formatted with style sheets and sitting inside a template.

I have tried this on a page without using my template and it's fine and works as I would like it too... But as soon as I apply my template it reverts to the automatic paragrahing...

Anyone have any ideas?

leave the template off, and save a copy of the page as your own template.

this way will keep it as a normal page, so no areas won't be locked.

just set the page up as you want, and save as 'template.html' or whatever, then whenever you want to use it, open it up and do your stuff, then 'save as...' a different name (otherwise you'll overwrite the tempplate file).

i've never liked dw templates, and never will.
