Hmmz not so funny, this afternoon I tried to start a new site and did the setup of my DB. Now I try to retrieve the tables of my DB. The dialog window pops up with the following message: Unable to retrieve tables from this connection. Open the connections dialog to test this connection
and that works fine.......
I'm working currently on a php site with a mySQL backend. Running lighttpd as a webserver under fast-cgi. I never experienced this kind of issues. Searching the web learned me that there was an issue like this with .asp development
Anybody any clue or seen this before
Kind regards Bart

I am having the same problem, but with ASP and MS Access... However I only get this on our local intranet server. If I use an external ISP I manage to connect and retrieve tables. I reckon it is some kind of setting that needs to be done on the server. But what setting?!? I am afraid that our network guys don't have a clue about this.

Did you upload your connections folder to your server. Check also if all your permissions are ok.

Found the problem already it was a combination of the names of the DB and Dreamweaver. If you have a DB with the bla-bla-bla. In my example jan-stallen-com. Dreamweaver 8 is not able to read the tables from the DB. Changing the name to janstallen it worked perfectly
Thanks for all the support
