I am helping a school to redo their website. We have MX8 (professional). I am hoping to use Contribute to allow others (when the site is live) to drag and drop documents and things into the site. Has anyone done something like this or is there somewhere I can find out more about this arrangement. I want to be able to go this route without server site code (e.g. ASP) and a DB. I am thinking on the right lines here? Many Thanks.

I have a client that decided to use contribute as part of the maintenance and to coorinate the updating of her website. Contribute adds this LCK files to pretty much every file you have so when I wanted to update the website it would tell me that someone else was working on it. Sometimes, one of the 3 people working on the site in different capacities would leave without releasing the files(we work long distance) the site. In few words. We hated it and decided to get rid of it. So we went the old way using FTP updates and direct communication. On the other hand, I developed some CMS for a few clients and they absolutely love it. I wuld say. Go DB and create your own CMS. There is lots of help online.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Thanks for that comment. In my scenario I would see only one person changing any one file at a time. Has anyone else further experience on using Contribute 3.1 with problems, etc. I wonder if it is little used for this reason?
