404 means that the page was not found on the server. That suggests that either it's not been uploaded or there is a link not pointing to the correct place
try looking at the DW view that shows your local site on the right and the server on the left (expand to show - it's like a square in the files panel) from that you should be able to see where your files are

I don't know how I got mine to work, but after hours of tormenting myself on the dreamweaver support site, I ended up here, and Alan's comment aided, with some mod's.
Check to be sure that in the site definition for both remote and testing use "passive FTP" and "firewall". also, try dropping the "www."
off of your host directory and URL prefix for the testing and reote servers. my testing has no host directory.
It worked for me.
