Hi there

As you can see I'm very newbie in this, but i never thought that i would get stuck inserting a simple image. This is getting me crazy. I can insert a picture in design view but when i preview the page in the Mozilla or IE6 only the tag <alt ="Alternate text"> shows. At the moment I am looking for any misconfiguration in the IIS where I Have my testing Server.

Hope that someone knows why this is happening.

Many thanks

Did you upload your image to the server? also, make sure your address to the image is correct and not pointing to your local computer but to the document.

<img src="imagesfolder/imagefile.jpg"> or <img src="www.yoursite.com/images/imagefile.jpg">

Yes i toke care of that, and I leave here more details:
Local View:
C:\Documents and Settings\Humberto.1BI\Desktop\AsYouAre

Remote View and Testing Server
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\AsYouAre

As I put everything in the root, just for testing, when I click View Source in IE
<p><img src="/ie.gif" alt="MIE" width="88" height="31"></p>

This is all correct, bur only appears a red 'X' with text MIE

btw I following a Lynda ASP/Dreamweaver VIDEO TUTORIAL "how to build a Blog" and i got stuck in the last lesson..... everything was working until now. I never need to insert images along the tutorial.
Thanks
