Hey, just want to share this transcript with you. I found multiple product problems in safari and I posted a comment/review that was removed months ago. Rather than dealing with the issue, it was ignored. Then tech support said, use another browser because Safari use percent was small !

RE: Sound Manager 2 fails to initialize on this page:

Support / Miro:
which version of Safari?
jefferis peterson:
It has been that way for months. Last 3 versions of Safari at least.
Support / Miro:
on PC or Mac?
jefferis peterson:
Mac
jefferis peterson:
current version is 5.04 so it may have failed in 4.x also
I wrote tech when it was first released and never got a response
Needless to say, I didn't buy the product when it was discounted.
Support / Miro:
seems as a problem only in safary on Mac
Support / Miro:
Safari%
jefferis peterson:
?
jefferis peterson:
Every mac user
jefferis peterson:
this also fails

Support / Miro:
Every Mac user has a number of choices
Support / Miro:
it is not only safari
jefferis peterson:
Hey, that is a bullsh*t way of dealing with millions of users
who will only be offended by that
Support / Miro:
no... just pointing out ... I cannot fix this right awa
Support / Miro:
I told you will pass it to developers
jefferis peterson:
yeah but as a developer, I don't want to put something up that is not going to work for ALL my clients and customers
Support / Miro:
that is your right
jefferis peterson:
Do you want a screen shot of the other error?
Support / Miro:
I'm not offending no one
Support / Miro:
no I have seen it already
jefferis peterson:
The latter says flash not present or something.
jefferis peterson:
Thought the whole idea of html 5 was to avoid flash
jefferis peterson:
?
Support / Miro:
avoiding flash is something that for sounds is quite tricky. There is in fact a flash behind the scene
Support / Miro:
the rest is HTML5
jefferis peterson:
Then it offers nothing that I can't do in Flash. Looking for products that avoid the iPhone iPad problem that no flash plays.

Hello Jefferis,

It appears that the problem is not in the MP3 Player - since the sound is played but that the animations made with Advanced CSS Anmimator are not triggered.

The problem with the Animator is under investigation.

The MP3 Player uses HTML5 on devices/systems that don't have Flash. The problem with HTML5 is that you can't access the audio data (Mozilla already working on an API for this), so visualization with HTML5 is currently not possible.

Because of the shortcomings of HTML5 the MP3 Player prefers Flash but is also fully supports HTML5 (HTML5 does not forbid Flash) and uses the HTML5 sound tag when needed.
